Under Construction

Hey! Welcome to My Not-So-Empty Nest! I'm Joanne... Christian, Wife, Mother of 2, Grandmother of 2, Dabbler in Miscellany. Not only is my blog under construction but SO AM I! Please be patient with me as I navigate this adventure. My husband and I have been married since August 20, 1988... I was the ripe old age of 19! Soon came the little ones. They aren't so little now! Fast forward 24 years to now and I am the excessively excited Grandmother of TWIN BOYS!

So why the name of my blog? Thanks for asking! My husband and I became "empty nesters" in August 2010 when our youngest went away to college. Our oldest had moved out a couple years previous to that but then in February of 2012 he and his growing family moved back in. It is a mid-term-temporary arrangement but it has made our nest more full than ever! But even when they fly to a nest of their own, mine will still be unemptied because I intend to fill it with purpose!

The experts say that to have a successful blog it must have a specific topic. I say that successful is a relative term and I want to be just as curious about what is coming next as those who read my posts! So until I fall into a rhythm you may be seeing posts about any number of topics. Your guess is as good as mine!

    1. I replied to your comment earlier, Ina, but I guess it didn't post! Thank you so much! Having people tell me that my parents would be proud of me is a taste of hearing "Well done" on THAT day!
