One afternoon a couple weeks ago I noticed that the moon was out before the sun had gone down and the sky was still bright blue. The moon seemed so out of place in the daylight but so beautiful. For reasons unknown to me, I found its misplaced appearance captivating...
That is a lovely shot, Joanne!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl!
DeleteAhhhh...it is captivating.
ReplyDeleteI love to gaze at the moon. Thank you for your comment, Vee!
DeleteBeautiful shot! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kati!
DeleteI took the kids to a planetarium presentation last summer. I was intrigued to learn that the moon has its own moonrise and moonset and that it is just as likely to be up during the daytime hours as it is during the nighttime hours. It is just not noticeable to us because the moon does not put out its own light and is not easy to see in a blue sky.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've given you my science lesson for the day ;-), I wanted to say what a lovely photo!
Kristin, Your science lessons are always welcome here! Thank you!
